The Edmonton Elks have signed American defensive back CJ Jones.
The six-foot-three, 185-pound defender played his final two seasons of collegiate football at Henderson State University (2018-19), which is located in Arkadelphia, Ark. He recorded 97 total tackles, one interception, 14 knockdowns, and three forced fumbles over 22 games with the team.
The native of North Las Vegas, Nev. started his collegiate career at Southern Oregon University. He made 64 total tackles and seven knockdowns over two seasons with the team (2016-17) after redshirting in 2015.
Jones most recently played for the Vegas Knight Hawks of the Indoor Football League, recording 15 total tackles, one interception, six pass deflections in four games in 2022.
