The Ottawa Redblacks have hired former CFL player Jykine Bradley as the team’s defensive backs coach heading into the 2023 season, the club announced on Tuesday.
“We are very pleased to have Coach Bradley joining our staff as the defensive backs coach,” said Redblacks head coach Bob Dyce in a statement. “His breadth of CFL playing and coaching experience will be a definite asset to our coaching staff.”
The Knoxville, Tenn. native was the defensive backs coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2022, his first coaching job in the CFL. The 42-year-old previously coached the defensive backs at Northwood University in 2021, and was the wide receivers coach of the University of Waterloo Warriors from 2017-2019.
As a player, Bradley spent his collegiate career with Middle Tennessee State University before a stint with the Buffalo Bills in 2004. He then moved on to Hamilton, where he suited up for the Ticats from 2004 to 2010 before finishing his CFL career with Edmonton in 2011.
