The Montreal Alouettes have re-signed defensive back Kerfalla Exumé to a one-year contract for the 2023 season.
The six-foot, 197-pound Exumé played in all of the Als’ games in 2022, collecting six tackles on special teams. In 2021, he was an important part of the birds’ coverage team, racking up 15 tackles on special teams, second on the team. He won the Grey Cup with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in his rookie season in 2019.
In 50 career CFL games with Winnipeg and Montreal, Exumé has amassed 46 tackles on special teams and three defensive tackles.
He was selected in the eighth round, 70th overall by the Blue Bombers in the 2019 CFL Draft. The 28-year-old played his collegiate career with the Université de Montreal Carabins and Danny Maciocia.
“Kerfalla is an important piece on our special teams,” Maciocia said. “He has gained great experience in his first three years in the CFL and I can assure that with him the best is to come.”
The Alouettes also added running back Jerry Howard Jr., a former Towson University Tiger, to the roster.
