The Ottawa Redblacks have re-signed American defensive back Sherrod Baltimore for the 2023 season.

The 30-year-old cornerback has spent all five seasons of his CFL career in the nation’s capital. In 13 games last season, he recorded 22 defensive tackles and eight pass knockdowns — the fifth-highest total in the league.

Since arriving in Ottawa in 2017, Baltimore has amassed 136 total tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble in 60 games. He was named the team’s Most Outstanding Rookie in his first season out of the University of Maine.

In 24 collegiate games for the Black Bears, Baltimore registered 47 tackles, three tackles for loss, three interceptions and 10 pass breakups.
