The Ottawa Redblacks have signed Canadian running back Ante Milanovic-Litre to a one-year contract.

The move comes just three days after the versatile back was released by the Edmonton Elks. Milanovic-Litre had signed a contract extension with the team in January but the organization suddenly reversed course.

The 28-year-old played all 18 games for the Elks in 2022, seeing time at tailback, fullback and on special teams. He notched 241 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as 89 receiving yards.

Drafted 28th overall by the Calgary Stampeders in 2017, the Vancouver, B.C. native spent his first four CFL seasons with the club and helped capture the Grey Cup in 2018. Through 73 career games, the Simon Fraser product has racked up 592 rushing yards, and three touchdowns, to go with 319 receiving yards. Litre has also made 37 career special teams tackles.
