The Montreal Alouettes have re-signed American running back Walter Fletcher, the team announced on Wednesday.
The five-foot-nine, 202-pound ball carrier recorded 85 carries for 486 yards and one touchdown and 29 receptions for 353 yards and one touchdown over 14 games with the Alouettes in 2022. He made six starts while sharing time in the backfield with William Stanback and Jeshrun Antwi.
The 26-year-old spent the 2021 season with the Edmonton Elks where he recorded 67 carries for 302 yards along with 22 receptions for 177 yards. He was traded from Edmonton to Montreal in June 2022.
Fletcher played three collegiate seasons with the Edinboro University Fighting Scots and one season with the Ball State University Cardinals.
The Alouettes also formally announced the additions of receiver Greg Ellingson and defensive back Jumal Rolle, both of which were reported by 3DownNation on Wednesday.
