The Calgary Stampeders have re-signed versatile American defensive back Branden Dozier, the team announced on Wednesday.
The five-year CFL veteran dressed for seven games this past season and recorded 20 defensive tackles, seven special teams tackles, and one interception. He made his debut with the team in 2021 when he played 14 regular season games, making 49 defensive tackles, 17 special teams tackles, one sack, and one interception.
The five-foot-ten, 204-pound defender made his CFL debut as a member of the Montreal Alouettes in 2017 and played two years with the club. He signed with the B.C. Lions in 2019 and was a member of the team for one year.
The native of Topeka, Kan. has made 289 defensive tackles, 64 special teams tackles, eight interceptions, three sacks, three forced fumbles, and one touchdown over 72 career CFL games.
Dozier was named an East Division all-star in 2018 as a member of the Alouettes.
