The Edmonton Elks have signed receiver Kyran Moore to a one-year contract.
The 26-year-old made 36 receptions for 295 yards over seven games this past year as a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders after returning from a torn ACL he suffered in October 2021.
The five-foot-ten, 165-pound target signed with the Riders fresh out of Austin Peay State University in 2018. He made 32 catches for 475 yards and one touchdown in his rookie season, averaging 14.8 yards per reception.
Moore had the best year of his career in 2019 when he made 78 receptions for 996 yards and six touchdowns. The Riders finished first in the West Division with a 13-5 record that season before losing to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the West Final.
The native of Bessemer, Ala. caught 64 passes in 2021 for 585 yards and three touchdowns in 2021 before undergoing surgery to repair his torn ACL.
Chris Jones, who was the head coach and general manager of the Riders during Moore’s rookie season in 2018, now holds the same roles in Edmonton.
