The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have re-signed Canadian running back Sean Thomas-Erlington, the team announced on Monday. He was set to become a free agent on Tuesday, Feb. 14.
The five-foot-nine, 217-pound ball carrier started the first three regular season games this past season before moving to a backup role behind Don Jackson and Wes Hills. He rushed for a career-high 371 yards and one touchdown along with 25 receptions for 216 yards and one touchdown over 18 regular season games.
The 30-year-old was an eighth-round pick in the 2017 CFL Draft out of the Université de Montréal. He has dressed for 62 career games with the Ticats and recorded 191 carries for 1,170 yards and six touchdowns along with 63 receptions for 631 yards and three touchdowns.
Hamilton has also agreed to terms on a contract extension with quarterback Matthew Shiltz, according to 3DownNation reporter Justin Dunk.
