The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed three players, including American receiver Omar Bayless.

The six-foot-one, 210-pound pass catcher played four seasons at Arkansas State, amassing 177 receptions for 2,775 yards and 26 touchdowns in 43 games. He graduated as the school’s all-time leader in career receiving touchdowns while ranking second in both receptions and receiving yardage.

Bayless was named the Sun Belt Player of the Year in 2019 after he set a single-season school record with 1,653 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Carolina Panthers prior to the 2020 season and spent two years on the team’s practice roster.

The 26-year-old last suited up for the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2022 preseason.

Also signed by Hamilton were national offensive lineman Nicolas Guay and American defensive back Tyrone Hill Jr.

Guay was selected by the Ticats with the 64th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2022 CFL Draft but failed to make the club’s roster out of training camp. The six-foot-two, 300-pound blocker spent four seasons with the Laval Rouge et Or, winning a Vanier Cup in 2018. He was named a U Sports All-Canadian and RSEQ All-Star in 2021.

Hill Jr. played one season as a graduate transfer at Washington State, registering 20 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and two pass breakups in six games. The six-foot-one, 200-pound safety had spent the previous four seasons at the University at Buffalo, posting 148 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 20 pass breakups and two fumble recoveries.
