The Montreal Alouettes have signed three American prospects ahead of the 2023 season, including receivers Hasise Dubois and Donald Stewart, and offensive lineman Jalen Burks.

The six-foot-three, 210-pound target’s best season came as a senior in 2019, when he notched 75 receptions for 1,062 yards and six touchdowns in 14 games en route to an honourable mention All-ACC selection. He last suited up for the USFL’s Tampa Bay Bandits, catching four passes for 36 yards.

Stewart began his collegiate career at Stanford, where he caught 14 passes for 188 yards and one touchdown in 32 games. The six-foot-four, 210-pound pass catcher transferred to Wake Forest for his final two campaigns, amassing 38 receptions for 429 yards and one touchdown in 20 games.

Burks has been in the CFL since 2021 with the Toronto Argonauts and Winnipeg Blue Bombers, with whom he spent last season on the practice roster. The six-foot-five, 305-pound offensive tackle played five seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and was named to the All-WIAC Second Team in 2018 and 2019.

The Alouettes also confirmed the signing of East Carolina receiver/returner Tyler Snead, which had been previously announced.
