The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed a trio of American receivers to their roster, including Darvin Kidsy Jr., Lio’undre Gallimore and Kendrick Price Jr.
Kidsy Jr. played two seasons at Texas Southern, registering 38 receptions for 519 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games. He transferred after three seasons at North Texas, where he totalled 48 receptions for 539 yards with two receiving touchdowns in 36 games. The six-foot, 180-pound pass catcher also contributed in the return game with 31 punt returns for 265 yards and two touchdowns and 18 kickoff returns for 428 yards and one touchdown.
The 27-year-old originally signed with the Washington Football Team in 2018 as an undrafted free agent, dressing for five regular season games and registering one reception for eight yards. He spent parts of two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks before signing with the Saskatchewan Roughriders last offseason. Kidsy was cut ahead of training camp and briefly signed with the USFL’s Houston Gamblers, though he was released a week later.
Gallimore joins the team after an outstanding collegiate career at Valdosta State, earning first-team All-Gulf South conference honours once in 2018 and second-team status twice in 2019 and 2021. The five-foot-10, 171-pound receiver recorded 145 receptions for 2,808 yards and 31 receiving touchdowns in 44 career games. The 23-year-old attended rookie mini-camp with the Atlanta Falcons in 2022 but did not receive a contract.
Price Jr. played five seasons at Northwestern State, amassing 60 receptions for 868 yards and 11 receiving touchdowns in 37 games. The six-foot-one, 205-pound target attended rookie mini-camp with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs in 2022 but went unsigned.
