The New England Patriots have signed Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive back Rodney Randle Jr., according to Ethan Hurwitz. He worked out for the team last week.
The 25-year-old signed with Hamilton in August following his release from the Montreal Alouettes. He recorded 14 tackles and two interceptions over four games that he started at field-side cornerback.
The six-foot, 170-pound cover man played 19 games over two seasons with the Montreal Alouettes prior to his release from the team, registering 44 defensive tackles, 11 special teams tackles, and two interceptions.
The native of Beaumont, Texas was previously a member of the San Diego Chargers in 2019 and the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL in 2020.
Randle played collegiately at Lamar University for four seasons (2015-2018) where he appeared in 41 games, recording 170 tackles, one sack, and five interceptions.
