The Calgary Stampeders have re-signed a trio of global players, including offensive lineman Keanu Ebanks, linebacker Ryan Gomes, and defensive back Bailey Devine-Scott.
Ebanks spent this past season on Calgary’s practice roster after signing with the team as a free agent. The six-foot-six, 308-pound blocker is a native of Leeds, U.K. and has previously played professionally in Germany and Sweden.
Gomes spent most of the year on the practice roster but dressed for the Stampeders’ regular season finale against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in a backup role. Born in North Carolina and raised in Brazil, the six-foot, 225-pound defender was a second-round pick in the 2022 CFL Global Draft out of Universidad de las Americas Puebla.
Devine-Scott dressed for four games this past season and recorded two defensive tackles and two special teams tackles. The six-foot-one, 200-pound defender was selected in the third round of the 2022 CFL Global Draft out of Western New England where he was twice named first-team All-Commonwealth Coast Conference.
