The Toronto Argonauts are opening the upper east side of BMO Field for the East Final on Sunday due to high ticket demand.

A club spokesperson told 3DownNation on Wednesday that the original ticket manifest for the game was 19,000. Those seats have since sold out and the new tickets will be released progressively as required.

Roy Woods, a popular hip-hop artist originally from Brampton, Ont., will play the halftime show. He was signed to Drake’s record label, OVO Sound, in 2015 and released his debut album Say Less in 2017. It peaked at No. 26 in Canada and No. 92 in the United States. His music has been streamed over two billion times globally.

The 26-year-old played football as a child and attended a number of games at BMO Field this season as a fan.

The first 10,000 fans to enter BMO Field on Sunday will receive a limited-edition Argos crew neck sweater. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. EST.

The Argos are hosting the East Final for a second consecutive year, this time taking on the Montreal Alouettes. Toronto won the season series between the two teams two-to-one and finished four points ahead of the Als in the East Division standings.

This marks the first time the two teams will play in the East Final since 2012 when the Argos won at Olympic Stadium in Montreal by a score of 27-20.
