The CFL has fined four players for incidents that occurred during this past week’s action.
Toronto Argonauts’ receiver Markeith Ambles and Edmonton Elks’ defensive back Treston Decoud were fined for an altercation that took place after their game this past week. The fines levied were maximum fines, which equate to half the game cheque for each player.
Ambles made three receptions for 32 yards in the 28-23 come-from-behind win for the Argos, while Decoud recorded three tackles and a sack.
The league also fined Montreal Alouettes’ defensive back Adarius Pickett for a high hit on Ottawa Redblacks’ receiver Ryan Davis. B.C. Lions’ defensive lineman Woody Baron was fined as well for unnecessary roughness on Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ offensive lineman Geoff Gray.
As per league policy, the amounts of the fines were not disclosed.
