The Montreal Alouettes have signed Canadian offensive lineman Jakub Szott.

The 24-year-old was selected by the Ottawa Redblacks in the fourth round of the 2020 CFL Draft out of McMaster University and started 12 games as a rookie at left guard in 2021. He was moved to the practice roster after training camp and remained there until he was released by the team in mid-August.

The six-foot-five, 305-pound blocker joined the practice roster with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers earlier this month and two weeks with the team. He was recently released when the team’s practice roster could no longer be expanded.

Montreal also released a trio of Americans, including quarterback Felix Harper, linebacker Jaylan Alexander, and Rashaad Harding. American running back Jerry Howard Jr. has also been placed on the suspended list.
