The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released five players from their practice roster, including Canadian offensive lineman Jakub Szott, American offensive lineman Liam Fornadel, American offensive lineman Paxton Muljo, American defensive lineman Bronson Massie, and American defensive back Raleigh Texada.

Szott joined the team at the start of October after spending two months as a free agent following his release from the Ottawa Redblacks. The six-foot-five, 305-pound blocker was a fourth-round pick in the 2020 CFL Draft out of McMaster University and started 12 games as a rookie at left guard in 2021.

Fornadel played five seasons at James Madison University where he was named HERO Sports FCS Second Team All-American, VaSID First Team All-State, and FCS Preseason First Team All-American. The six-foot-five, 311-pound blocker was invited to rookie minicamp with the Pittsburgh Steelers after going unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Muljo played 19 games at left tackle at Northern Michigan and helped the Wildcats reach a new single-season rushing record in 2018. The six-foot-six, 305-pound blocker was named an All-GLIAC honourable mention in 2021 and signed with the New Orleans Breakers of the USFL following his graduation.

Massie played in 53 games with the Kansas State Wildcats and made 53 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and 3 passes defended. The Lufkin, Texas native ended his college career with his best collegiate performance, recording three sacks in the Texas Bowl against LSU.

Texada played five seasons at Baylor and made 142 tackles and four interceptions. He was named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honour Roll four times before signing with the Green Bay Packers after going unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft. He also had a workout with the Miami Dolphins.
