The Ottawa Redblacks have signed American linebacker Jordan Young to their practice roster, the team announced on Monday.

The six-foot-three, 230-pound defender went unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft following a standout career at Old Dominion.

Young recorded 350 total tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and eight knockdowns over 49 career games with the Monarchs.

He native of Coatesville, Pa. was named Conference USA Honourable Mention as a senior in 2021 after making a team-leading 104 total tackles along with 7.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and one fumble recovery.

The Redblacks (4-12) will visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (6-10) on Friday, Oct. 21 and will need to win in order to keep their faint playoff hopes alive. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
