The Calgary Stampeders have added American offensive linemen Leon Johnson to the practice roster.

The six-foot-five, 310-pound blocker was a member of the team during the 2019 and 2021 seasons, starting one game at left tackle this past year. He was in training camp with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers this season but was released upon the conclusion of training camp.

The native of New Brunswick, N.J. played 45 games over four seasons at Temple, making 10 starts at left tackle during his senior season. He signed with the Denver Broncos after going unselected in the 2018 NFL Draft and later played with the Salt Lake Stallions of the Alliance of American Football.

The Stampeders have also added American offensive lineman Brandon Murphy to the practice roster.

The six-foot-six, 328-pound blocker spent four seasons at Indiana State (2015-2018) as a basketball player, averaging 4.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. He transferred to the University of Memphis in 2019 and played as a defensive lineman.

The native of Montgomery, Ala. played for the Sea Lions of The Spring League earlier this year before signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
