The Ottawa Redblacks have signed former Montreal Alouettes’ receiver Quan Bray. He was released by the Als back in June amid roster cutdown day following training camp.
The five-foot-ten, 185-pound target had an impressive rookie season with the Alouettes in 2019, catching 58 passes for 818 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games. He returned to the team in 2021 and suited up for 12 games, posting 35 receptions for 481 yards and two touchdowns.
The 29-year-old nearly missed the 2021 season after he was arrested in February 2020 for transporting 157 pounds of marijuana alongside former Auburn University teammate Greg Robinson. One of the charges against him was dropped, while he pleaded guilty to the other and was required to pay a fine.
Bray spent time in the NFL from 2015 to 2018 and dressed for the Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo Bills, and Houston Texans. In 24 games with the Colts, he caught six passes for 75 yards. The Lagrange, Ga. native also suited up for the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) in 2019.
