The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added Canadian offensive lineman Jakub Szott to their practice roster.
The six-foot-five, 305-pound blocker was a fourth-round pick of the Ottawa Redblacks in the 2020 CFL Draft out of McMaster University. He started 12 games as a rookie at left guard in 2021 before spending most of the 2022 season on Ottawa’s practice roster. He was released by the team in August.
Winnipeg also added Global receiver Timothy Knuettel and Canadian receiver Luke McMillan to the practice roster.
McMillan was in training camp with the Blue Bombers this season and completed a stint on the practice roster earlier this season. He made 36 receptions for 414 yards and three touchdowns last season as a member of the Winnipeg Rifles of the Canadian Junior Football League.
The Blue Bombers also released American receiver Kelvin McKnight from the practice roster.
