The B.C. Lions have signed American wide receiver Jamarius Way to the practice roster.

The 25-year-old returns to the team after participating in training camp in Kamloops. The native of Belle Glade, Fla. made seven receptions for 87 yards and a touchdown before sustaining an elbow injury.

The six-foot-three, 215-pound target transferred from Iowa to South Alabama for the 2017 and 2018 seasons and recorded 108 catches for 1,617 yards and 12 touchdowns in 23 games. He signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2019 but did not make the final roster after training camp.

Way was named a first-team All-Region and All-Iowa Community College Athletic Conference selection as a sophomore with the Hawkeyes in 2016 after making 40 receptions for 594 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The B.C. Lions (7-1) are scheduled to visit the Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-4) on Friday, Aug. 19 with kickoff slated for 10:00 p.m. EDT.
