The Montreal Alouettes have signed American defensive back Raheem Wilson to the practice roster.

The 28-year-old was released by the Calgary Stampeders earlier this month after starting the first six games of the year at safety and cornerback, recording 19 defensive tackles.

The five-foot-eleven, 185-pound cover man started all 14 regular season games with the team in 2021 and made 52 defensive tackles, one special teams tackles, and one interception. He was a full-time starter at field-side cornerback as a rookie in 2019 and recorded 36 defensive tackles, one special teams tackle, two interceptions, and one forced fumble.

The Alouettes (3-6) kept pace with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats this past week with a 20-17 overtime win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The two teams are slated to clash at Percival Molson Stadium in Montreal on Saturday with kickoff slated for 4:00 p.m. EDT.
