The Edmonton Elks have released American offensive lineman Toriano Roundtree.
The 27-year-old signed with the club on July 29 and was placed on the practice roster. He did not appear in any games as a member of the Elks.
The six-foot-six, 311-pound blocker graduated from P.K. Yonge High School in his hometown of Gainesville, Fla. He played collegiately at Eastern Arizona Community College, Louisville, and Colorado State before entering the XFL draft pool in 2019, though he went unselected.
Roundtree was a member of the Indoor Football League’s Spokane Shock in 2021 and signed with the National Arena League’s Jacksonville Sharks in January 2022.
The Elks were on a bye this past week and are slated to visit the B.C. Lions on Saturday, Aug. 6 with kickoff slated for 10:00 p.m. EDT.
