The B.C. Lions have signed American offensive lineman Tristen Taylor to the practice roster.
The six-foot-six, 330-pound blocker participated in rookie mini-camp with the Chicago Bears earlier this year following his tenure at Eastern Washington. He played in a school record 60 games with the Eagles over six seasons (2016-21) as a starter at guard and tackle. He was granted an extra year of eligibility after playing only three games in 2018.
Taylor was named honourable mention All-Big Sky in 2016 and 2018, First-Team All-America in 2020, and Second-Team All-America in 2021.
The native of Stockton, Calif. helped Eastern Washington finish with the top offence in the FCS in 2021 with 7,224 total yards. The team ranked second in the FCS in total offence in 2016 with 529.6 yards per game and third in the FCS in total offence in 2020 with 524.9 yards per game.
