B.C. Lions sign longtime NFL running back Brian Hill

The B.C. Lions have signed American running back Brian Hill.

The 26-year-old was a fifth-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. He dressed for 39 games over four seasons with the team, recording 198 carries for 945 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught 36 passes for 227 yards and one touchdown.

The native of East St. Louis, Ill. was also a member of the Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and San Francisco 49ers. He dressed for three games as a member of the 49ers in 2021 but did not record any carries.

Hill measured in at the 2017 NFL Combine at six-foot-one and 219 pounds. He recorded a 4.54-second forty-yard dash, 4.32-second short shuttle, 7.03-second three-cone drill, 34-inch vertical jump, 125-inch broad jump, and 15 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.

Prior to turning pro, Hill attended the University of Wyoming and became the school’s all-time leading rusher with 4,287 yards while scoring 37 touchdowns. He also made 41 receptions for 403 yards. Hill was teammates with Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen for his final two years with the program.
