The Montreal Alouettes have signed former Toronto Argonauts receiver Chandler Worthy, according to team reporter Joey Alfieri.

The 28-year-old Worthy spent parts of four CFL seasons with the Argos, recording 29 receptions for 337 yards and four touchdowns with four carries for 32 yards. He also returned 39 kick-offs for 800 yards, 65 punts for 572 yards and five missed field goals for 162 yards.

At his Troy University pro day in 2015, Worthy ran 40-yard times in the 4.30 seconds range multiple times, but the five-foot-eight, 177-pound pass catcher has stated he’s even faster now. According to the Griffin, GA native, the quickest 40-yard time he’s recorded is 4.26 seconds.

Following his NCAA career, Worthy signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Houston Texans and played in three NFL games during the 2015 season, grabbing three balls for 14 yards while returning one kick-off for 27 yards and three punts for nine yards.
