The B.C. Lions have signed American defensive lineman Miles Fox.
The six-foot-one, 297-pound Fox spent his final three college football seasons at Wake Forest University (2019-2021) after transferring from Old Dominion University.
In 21 total games with the Demon Deacons, Fox racked up 58 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss and seven-and-a-half sacks, including a takedown of the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft Trevor Lawrence in a game against Clemson in 2020.
After missing the 2019 season due to a torn Achilles — suffered during a non-contact drill that spring — the Lawrenceville, Georgia native earned first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honours and an ACC Comeback Player of the Year nomination in 2020.
Fox’s final college season saw him earn second-team All-ACC honours as well as All-ACC Academic team honours. Fox ended his college career by helping the Demon Deacons defeat Rutgers University 38-10 in the 2021 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. Against the Scarlet Knights, Fox had four total tackles and one tackle for loss.
Prior to his time at Wake Forest, Fox spent his first four collegiate seasons at Old Dominion (2015-2018), playing in 34 games and registering 116 total tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, one pass breakup and three forced fumbles. Fox also had one carry for minus-four yards during his career with the Monarchs.
