Bombers send 2022 first round CFL Draft pick to Alouettes as part of trade for Canadian DL Cam Lawson

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have acquired Canadian defensive tackle Cam Lawson and the 13th overall selection in the 2022 CFL Draft from the Montreal Alouettes in exchange for the ninth and 18th overall selections.

The six-foot-three, 285-pound Lawson joins the Bombers after originally being selected by the Als 16th overall in the 2020 CFL Draft.

He had a four-year career at Queen’s University and in 2019 was named a U Sports All-Canadian and OUA lineman of the year. The Caledon, ON native finished his career with the Golden Gaels with 74 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks.

Lawson appeared in four games during the 2021 season with Montreal.
