Canadian quarterback Tre Ford has received an invitation to the New York Giants rookie mini-camp, per sources.

The native of Niagara Falls, Ont. went unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft after throwing for 7,118 passing yards, 56 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions over his four-year career with the University of Waterloo Warriors. He also rushed for 2,621 yards and 15 touchdowns en route to twice being named the OUA’s MVP.

Ford ran a 4.45-second forty-yard dash at the University at Buffalo’s pro day in March, which was a faster time than any quarterback posted at this year’s NFL Combine. The six-foot, 199-pound passer also performed well at the CFL Combine where he recorded 17 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, a 6.85-second three-cone drill, and a 35.5-inch vertical jump.

Ford already has a mini-camp invitation from the Baltimore Ravens. University of Waterloo head coach Chris Bertoia indicated that approximately 24 NFL teams reached out about Ford following his performance at University at Buffalo’s pro day.
