The Calgary Stampeders have signed American defensive back Natrell Jamerson and American receiver Keenan Johnson.
Jamerson was a fifth-round pick of the New Orleans Saints in the 2018 NFL Draft and spent time with seven NFL teams. He recorded 13 total tackles and one knockdown over 21 career NFL games with the Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, and Carolina Panthers.
The 24-year-old played four seasons at Wisconsin and made 88 tackles, five tackles for loss, 14 pass breakups, two interceptions, and 1.5 sacks. The five-foot-eleven, 200-pound cover man also added 38 kickoff returns for 784 yards and one touchdown for the Badgers.
The native of Ocala, Fla. was an all-Big Ten honourable mention in 2017 and the defensive MVP of the 2018 East-West Shrine Game.
Johnson played four seasons and was a three-year starter at Tulsa and went unselected in the 2019 NFL Draft. The six-foot-one, 200-pound target played 45 games and made 159 receptions for 1,882 yards and 10 touchdowns. As a senior, he set career-highs with 51 receptions for 600 yards and added four touchdowns.
