Former University of Calgary Dinos defensive tackle J-Min Pelley is set to be available for an upcoming CFL supplemental draft, according to TSN reporter Dave Naylor.
Former Dinos Football DL J-Min Pelley will be in CFL supp draft in early May. 1 year from eligibility, granted special inclusion by commissioner. Led to believe he is considered a top prospect. Listed at 6’6, 320 lbs on his 2020 roster page. Led to believe that may be light.
The nose tackle was a second-team U Sports All-Canadian in 2019 after recording 15 total tackles, four tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and one knockdown over seven regular season games. He also rushed two times for three yards and a touchdown and was chosen as a Canada West all-star while helping the Dinos win the Vanier Cup.
Pelley played three seasons in the Canadian Junior Football League before suiting up in U Sports, playing for the Calgary Colts (2016-2017) and Okanagan Sun (2018).
