Montreal native Samuel Emilus performed well at a recent pro day at the University of Massachusetts.
The six-foot-one, 194-pound receiver ran a 4.59-second forty-yard dash, 4.13-second shuttle, and 6.88 three-cone drill. He also leapt 37 inches in the vertical jump, 128 inches in the broad jump, and recorded nine reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.
Emilus played three seasons with the Minutemen (2018-2020) and made 59 receptions for 653 yards and seven touchdowns over 21 games. He transferred to Louisiana Tech University for the 2021 season where he made 16 catches for 245 yards and three touchdowns over seven contests.
The 24-year-old played CEGEP football for Vanier College in Montreal, posting 100 receptions for 1,921 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns. The multi-sport athlete played football, basketball, and soccer at Cure-Antoine-Labelle Secondary School.
Emilus declared for the 2022 NFL Draft back in January, which means he is also a member of the 2022 CFL Draft class. It is expected that he will be one of the first receivers selected in this year’s draft north of the border in what is considered a relatively weak class by 3DownNation‘s draft analysts.
