The CFL has released its full 21-week schedule for the 2022 season, culminating with the long-anticipated return of the Grey Cup to Saskatchewan when the province plays host to the 109th CFL championship on November 20.
In a little more than five months the Roughriders will be back on the field at Mosaic Stadium for their first game, a pre-season match-up against the reigning Grey Cup champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Monday, May 23. The Riders will face the Bombers three times in regular season action, including the 57th Labour Day Classic on Sunday, September 4, the Labour Day rematch on September 10 and a third match up on Friday, September 30 in Winnipeg.
The team’s regular season will also kick-off at home at Mosaic on Saturday, June 11 against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The Roughriders will be at home in front of Rider Nation for five of eight games before they take their first bye week in Week 9. The other green and white byes fall in weeks 16 and 19.
Overall, the home schedule features four Friday home games, four Saturday home games, and one Sunday game as well as five family friendly start times of 5 p.m. or earlier.
The team also plays in five home and home series this season including division rivalry back-to-backs with B.C. in August, Winnipeg in September and will finish out the regular season with back-to-back games against Calgary at the end of October.
