The Ottawa Redblacks have signed a trio of Canadians including fullbacks Anthony Gosselin and Marco Dubois and defensive lineman Kene Onyeka to contract extensions for 2022.
Onyeka played 13 games in 2021 and made two starts at defensive end. The 25-year-old former Carleton Raven had 14 defensive tackles, eight on special teams, a forced fumble and the first two sacks of his career.

Gosselin will return for a fifth season with Ottawa as he continues to serve primarily on special teams. The 29-year-old Sherbrooke product appeared in 12 games this year, also pulling in four passes for 20 yards and four special teams tackles.

Dubois dressed for 13 games during his third CFL campaign in 2021, making four special teams tackles. The native of LaSalle, Quebec and product of Laval University also caught two passes for 29 yards.
Ottawa has now re-signed 12 players since the end of the 2021 season during which they compiled a 3-11 record. A list of the team’s remaining free agents can be found here.
CFL free agency will commence in February 2022, though a specific date has yet to be announced.
