The B.C. Lions are getting star receiver Lucky Whitehead back in the lineup this week against the Toronto Argonauts.

Whitehead suffered a broken hand against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on October 1 and underwent surgery to repair the fractures. The injury took place on a hit from safety Brandon Alexander, after which Whitehead finished the game with a wrapped hand and wrist.

He entered Week 9 as the leading receiver in the CFL, recording 36 receptions for 665 yards and four touchdowns. He also returned a missed field goal 119 yards for a score in Week 6 in a win against Ottawa.

The timing couldn’t be better for a B.C. team that lost back-to-back games without Whitehead in the lineup, getting outscored by a combined 84-10 against Calgary and Winnipeg. Keon Hatcher started in Whitehead’s place in both games and recorded six receptions on ten targets for 70 yards.

The Lions visit the Argos on Saturday with kickoff slated for 4:00 p.m. ET.
