The province of Ontario announced on Friday that select indoor and outdoor settings across the province where proof of vaccination is required, including Tim Hortons Field, will increase to full capacity, effective October 9. Tim Hortons Field will operate at full capacity beginning with Monday’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats game against the Toronto Argonauts at 4 p.m. ET.
“We want to thank the provincial government and our public health authorities for all of their efforts and guidance as we return safely to full capacity for events at Tim Hortons Field,” said Matt Afinec, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Tiger-Cats in a press release. “The health and safety of our fans, players and everyone attending Tim Hortons Field has always been at the forefront. With that remaining our main focus, we’re excited about today’s announcement and look forward to returning to a full capacity moving forward.”
All remaining tickets for Monday’s game will be available via Ticketmaster. Patrons are reminded that event days (including media, fans aged 12 and older, game-day staff, etc.) will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination along with photo identification to gain entry to the facility. Proof of a negative COVID-19 test will no longer be accepted for admittance to ticketed events.
The Ticats have four remaining home games this season: Oct. 11 vs. Toronto; Oct. 23 vs. Ottawa; Nov. 5 vs. B.C.; and Nov. 20 vs. Saskatchewan.
Tim Hortons Field will also play host to the 108th Grey Cup slated for Dec. 12.
