McLeod Bethel-Thompson will start at quarterback for the Toronto Argonauts on Wednesday, according to Sean Bowen.
The 33-year-old started Toronto’s win over Montreal in Week 8, completing 13-of-19 pass attempts for 210 yards and two touchdowns. He has started three games on the year with the Argos going 2-1 when Bethel-Thompson is under centre.
Nick Arbuckle was limited in practice on Sunday due to a hamstring injury and is currently on the team’s one-game injured list. It’s possible he could be moved to the active roster as Bethel-Thompson’s backup this week — Toronto did this earlier in the year — but he will not be the club’s starter.
The Argos are slated to host the Ottawa Redblacks (2-5) on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. ET.
