The Canadian Football League has set the 2021 trade deadline for Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. ET.

The trade deadline in 2019 was set for October 9, which fell four weeks before the end of the regular season. This year’s trade deadline follows the same pattern, taking place four weeks before the end of the 2021 regular season.

Though trade deadline day is typically quiet in the CFL, last season brought marquee trade when the Winnipeg Blue Bombers acquired Zach Collaros from the Toronto Argonauts. The veteran quarterback became the team’s starter ahead of the postseason and helped lead them to a Grey Cup title.

It remains to be seen whether we’ll see another big-name trade executed at this year’s deadline, but we now have a timeline for when such a deal could take place.
