It’s looking like the Hamilton Tiger-Cats are getting receiver Bralon Addison back in the lineup sooner rather than later.

Per multiple sources, it is very likely Addison will be coming off the six-game injured list this week, making him eligible to return to practice and possibly dress against the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday.

The versatile playmaker rose to stardom with the Ticats in 2019, recording 95 receptions for 1,236 yards and seven touchdowns. He also carried the ball 36 times for 218 yards and a score.

Addison was released following his breakout CFL season to pursue opportunities south of the border and signed with the Minnesota Vikings. He was released by the team in August 2020 and remained a free agent until December when he inked a two-year contract with Hamilton.

The Oregon product has yet to play this season due to a knee injury. Hamilton has had a number of key players missing from their receiving corps with Addison, DeVier Posey, and Brandon Banks all on the shelf in recent weeks.

The Ticats are on a two-game winning streak despite injuries to quarterbacks Dane Evans and Jeremiah Masoli. Evans is expected to miss at least two more weeks of action, while Masoli has dressed as the backup to David Watford for the past two weeks as he recovers from a rib injury.

Montreal is slated to visit Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton for a 4:00 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday, Oct. 2. The Ticats will hold their first practice this week on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. ET.
