The Toronto Argonauts will be without a pair of ratio-breaking linebackers on Friday night.
Henoc Muamba (hamstring) and Cameron Judge (ankle) are nursing injuries that will keep them out of the club’s upcoming game against the Montreal Alouettes. Muamba has been added to the six-game injured list, while Judge has been added to the one-game injured list.
Both players have been in the starting lineup for all six games this season with Muamba at middle linebacker and Judge at weak-side linebacker. They are two of Toronto’s national starters, which has have caused the Argos to tinker with their ratio.
Canadian cornerback Arjen Colquhoun will get his first start of the season, while rookie defensive tackle Sam Acheampong will make his first career start. Colquhoun is a four-year veteran who was previously started with the Edmonton Elks (2017-19), while Acheampong has made six tackles this year as a rotational player along Toronto’s defensive line.
Vontae Diggs will make his first start with Toronto at middle linebacker, while the weak-side linebacker spot will be manned by Dexter McCoil.
Muamba has 24 total tackles, one sack, and one interception this season, while Judge has recorded 11 total tackles.
