I’m shocked that Ottawa didn’t do more on their bye week. I thought we would see at least one head roll in the front office. Signing Kenny Stafford helps them a little but it’s not like he’s going to fix that offence by himself.

***

The three best Canadian receivers in the CFL are (Winnipeg’s) Nic Demski, (B.C.’s) Lemar Durant, and (Saskatchewan’s) Kian Schaffer-Baker.

***

The Ticats keep signing quarterbacks. It makes me wonder how bad the injuries to (Jeremiah) Masoli and (Dane) Evans really are.

***

(Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ offensive guard Drew) Desjarlais is such a s*** disturber. He’s so nasty in the trenches. God, I wish we had him on our team.

***

The election didn’t change anything, so it looks like the flight ban for unvaccinated people is coming soon. Unless you’re talking about a truly elite player, I don’t think teams will let guys play at home and let them sit out when they go on the road. They’ll just suspend or cut them. This is football — continuity matters. You’re either in or you’re out.

There are multiple positions they need help at, but Calgary is weakest along the D-line. If you watch the film, a lot of their sacks are coverage sacks.

***

The Riders are really high on (Canadian defensive tackle) Charbel Dabire. If you watch him closely he’s got really good leverage on the inside.

***

I’m surprised at how good B.C.’s defence is. Their D-line gets a pretty good push and the secondary is dynamic. They get their hands on everything.
