The Ottawa Redblacks have signed former NFL receiver Terrance Williams.
The six-foot-two, 210-pound pass catcher was selected in the third round, 74th overall by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2013 NFL Draft. Williams played 83 games with the Cowboys from 2013 to 2018 earning nearly $13 million. He caught 232 passes for 3,377 yards and 20 touchdowns, averaging 14.6 yards per catch.
Williams proved to be a playmaker in the NCAA. He Texas native spent four seasons at Baylor University from 2009 to 2012. He recorded 202 catches for 3,334 yards and 27 touchdowns in 51 games with the Bears. During his standout senior year, Williams made 97 receptions for 1,832 yards — which led the nation — and 12 touchdowns in 13 games.
He a finalist for the Fred Biletnikoff award in 2011 and named a unanimous All-American in 2012. Williams was a key target for Robert Griffin III in 2011 when the dual-threat quarterback won the Heisman Trophy.
The 32-year-old is in great physical shape and wants to prove he can still play at a high level in the CFL.
