Brandon Banks has been added to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ one-game injured list and will miss Friday’s Labour Day rematch with the Toronto Argonauts.

The CFL reigning Most Outstanding Player has started all four of Hamilton’s games thus far this season, making 18 receptions for 157 yards and seven carries for 64 yards. He has yet to reach the end zone this year after scoring 16 touchdowns in 2019, which set a new career-high.

The Ticats have been without two top weapons in the receiving corps all season with DeVier Posey and Bralon Addison on the six-game injured list. This has put more of an emphasis on Banks as he is surrounded primarily by first or second-year receivers.

Hamilton improved to 2-2 on the season with a 32-19 victory over the Argos on Labour Day, bringing them into a tie for first-place in the East Division. A second consecutive win over the Boatmen would give the club a three-game winning streak and give them sole possession of first-place in the standings with the Montreal Alouettes (2-2) on a bye week.
