Saskatchewan Roughriders’ defensive tackle Micah Johnson is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The 33-year-old missed practice on Wednesday and Friday with an ankle injury this week and may not suit up for the annual Labour Day Classic at Mosaic Stadium.
Saskatchewan added rookie defensive tackle Anthony Lanier II to the active roster according to their depth chart, which could be an indication that they’ll need extra depth at the position. Johnson has started all three of the team’s games to date this season alongside rookie Garrett Marino, recording two tackles.
The eight-year CFL veteran is a three-time all-star who has recorded 188 total tackles, 45 sacks, six forced fumbles, and two interceptions. If he plays on Sunday, it will be the 100th career regular season game of his career.
The Riders host the Blue Bombers on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. ET having won 14 of the last 15 Labour Day Classics dating back to 2005.
