The B.C. Lions have lost two of their top receivers in Saturday’s game at TD Place in Ottawa.
Dominique Rhymes (ankle) and Lemar Durant (foot) left the contest due to injury with TSN reporting that they would not return.
Rhymes was making his return to Ottawa, where he was the team’s lone 1,000-yard receiver in 2019. He was seen on the television broadcast on the sidelines using crutches, which is an indication that the injury is serious. He had one reception for six yards early in the game before suffering the injury.
Durant left in the second half after making one catch on two targets for 19 yards.
The pair were replaced in the lineup by Canadian backups Jevon Cottoy and Jacob Scarfone.
The Lions lead the Redblacks by a score of 22-12 in the fourth quarter.
