Two of the CFL’s top defensive backs have returned to practice as full participants.

Tunde Adeleke of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Patrick Levels of the Montreal Alouettes participated fully in practice on Monday, which is a good sign for their availability come game-time on Friday.

Adeleke was named a CFL all-star in 2019 after recording 51 total tackles and two interceptions from the safety spot. The Carleton product arguably the best Canadian defensive back in the league and missed Hamilton’s first two games of the season due to a hamstring injury.

Levels was a limited participant in practice last week due to finger and hip injuries and has yet to make his 2021 debut with the Als. He was an East Division all-star in 2019 after recording 86 tackles, five sacks, and two forced fumbles from the strong-side linebacker position.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (0-2) are set to visit the Montreal Alouettes (1-1) for their home-opener at Percival Molson Stadium on Friday at 5:30 p.m. ET.
