Cody Fajardo found a unique way to celebrate his team’s 23-10 win over the Ottawa Redblacks on Saturday night.

QB Corn Dog Club! Goodbye Diet! 3-0 heading into the bye week proud of this team. Very fun to be around my incredible team, Fajardo tweeted after the game.

The veteran pivot headed to the Queen City Ex, a local fair that opened on Friday next door to Mosaic Stadium. He went with fellow quarterbacks Isaac Harker and Paxton Lynch and grabbed corn dogs, just as he did following a big win in 2019.

Fajardo told the media this week that attending local fairs has become part of his “CFL tradition.” He once almost missed the bus to the airport when he played for the B.C. Lions because he was busy buying a corn dog at the Canadian National Exhibition.

The young quarterback has lots to celebrate. He’s completed 75-of-95 pass attempts (78.9 percent) for 773 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception on the season and currently sits second in the CFL in passing yards. He has also carried the ball 21 times for 139 yards and two touchdowns, leading his team in rushing yards.

Saskatchewan is also the only unbeaten team remaining in the CFL after Winnipeg and Ottawa lost on Saturday. The team is 3-0 for the first time since 2013, which also happens to be the most recent year in which the Riders won the Grey Cup.

Enjoy for corn dogs, Cody. You deserve them.
