Blue Bombers cut ten Americans as training camp rosters shrink

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released ten players as part of the CFL’s mid-camp cutdown day.

The most notable name is quarterback Dalton Sneed, who spent the past two seasons at the University of Montana after transferring from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

In 2019, Sneed recorded 3,436 passing yards and 25 touchdowns against 14 interceptions, while completing 66 percent of his passes. Over his two seasons with Montana, Sneed threw for 47 touchdowns and 6,159 passing yards.

The 23-year-old Sneed earned All-State Division I honourable mention at Horizon High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. He passed for 3,565 yards and 28 touchdowns while rushing for 984 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior.
